PROCESOS DE RESIGNIFICACIÓN, DESARROLLOS LOCALES Y FORMACIÓN TERRITORIAL EN LOS
TERRITORIOS NACIONALES. EL CASO DE LA “SUIZA ARGENTINA” ENTRE LOS SIGLOS XIX Y XX

Resumen
La “Suiza argentina”, representación social del área andina norpatagónica, es un ejemplo claro de la complejidad de la formación territorial argentina. Si bien su valorización diferenciada deriva del proceso de construcción del territorio nacional en el siglo XIX, su resignificación como destino turístico en la primera mitad del siglo XX proviene de una serie de iniciativas locales vinculadas con factores exógenos. El estudio de este caso pone en cuestión la uniformidad de las periodizaciones y demás caracterizaciones adoptadas para regiones amplias como la Patagonia, o aún para todo el interior del país. También permite apreciar procesos tempranos de desarrollo local entendido como articulación local con tendencias globales.

The "Argentine Switzerland", social representation of the northern Andean patagonian area, is a clear example of the complexity of the territorial Argentine formation. Though her differentiated appraisement derives from the process of construction of the national territory in the 19th century, her remeaning like tourist destination in the first half of the 20th century comes from a series of local initiatives linked with exogenous factors. The study of this case puts in question the uniformity of the chronologies and other characterizations adopted for wide regions as the Patagonia, or furthermore for the whole interior of the country. Also it allows estimating early processes of local development understood as local joint with global trends.
